Q: What condition are they in?
A: Our reclaimed sleepers are A Grade quality, solid hardwood in very good condition for a used sleeper. They may show signs of their history such as oil marks, dirt, or weathering - adding to their rustic character.

Q: Are the sizes exact?
A: No, the size given (2.6m x 250mm x 150mm) is approximate. As they’ve been in service for decades, slight variations are expected.

Q: Can you cut reclaimed sleepers to size?
A: Unfortunately, reclaimed sleepers cannot be cross-cut. They are sold in their original length.

Q: Are there any restrictions on where they can be used?
A: Yes. Reclaimed sleepers must not be used indoors, in furniture, children’s play areas, animal enclosures, or any situation with frequent skin contact or food production. Always handle with protective gloves and clothing.

Other materials which may contaminate the products mentioned above. Frequent skin contact is to be avoided, when handling sleepers you must wear long sleeves and protective gloves.
